United States
The United States of America, commonly known as the USA, is a federal republic comprising 50 states, the District of Columbia, five territories, and remote islands. The contiguous 48 states and the federal district are located in central North America, bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the east, the Pacific Ocean to the west, Canada to the north, and Mexico and the Gulf of Mexico to the south. The contiguous states lie in the temperate and subtropical zones. Alaska, located in the northwest of the North American continent, borders Canada to the east and faces Russia across the Bering Strait to the west. Hawaii, a group of islands in the central Pacific Ocean, is also part of the USA. The USA also has numerous overseas territories and island regions in the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean.
San Francisco
San Francisco is a city located in northern California, also known as 'Golden Gate City', 'City by the Bay', and 'The Fog City'. It is the core metropolis of Northern California and the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as a cultural, commercial, and financial hub. The city is home to many artists, writers, and actors, and has been a center of American counterculture and progressive movements since the 20th century. San Francisco is also the birthplace of the United Nations and a popular tourist destination, renowned for its cool summers, frequent fog, rolling hills, eclectic architecture, and famous landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge, cable cars, Alcatraz Prison, and Chinatown.
Yellowstone National Park
Yellowstone National Park is the first national park in the USA. Located primarily in Wyoming, with parts in Montana and Idaho, it was established on March 1, 1872, when President Ulysses S. Grant signed the congressional act. It is the world's first national park. Yellowstone is famous for its diverse wildlife and geothermal features, with Old Faithful Geyser being one of its most renowned attractions.
